You’ve heard people touting how essential it is for you to be healthy, and all the million things you need to work on to achieve that.

The notion, while potentially true, is overwhelming. And it’s getting really loud out there.

Enter: Wellness Refocused.

Here, we invite you to take a step back. To quiet the noise. And to take the first, guided, intentional step forward to your personal health goals.

That word, β€˜wellness’, is broad. That’s why we like it. Because here, we use broad strokes so that you can fill in the details.

We want you to be well. And to help you quiet the noise and zone in, we’ll guide you in your steps towards optimal wellness: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

From Our Founder

I was hooked on self-help books.

Picking up a new book with a compelling cover, each time I was convinced it was the missing piece in my wellness journey. Energized and determined to develop a disciplined lifestyle, I’d begin reading. But somehow, before the final page, I’d bury the book in my graveyard of wellness-books that had gone before it.

I never found what I was looking for.

After years of this exhausting cycle, I wondered if healthy habits and realistic routines were impossible for me?

Feeling discouraged, I decided all that was left for me to do was start over as a true beginner, forgetting everything I’d tried to learn in all those books.

My first step as a new found beginner was ordering a β€œwellness journal". The book had 90 days worth of pages. I had one goal: after I filled out the pages, I wanted to be one step closer to living a healthy life.

I honestly don’t know how long it took me to get through that journal, but it doesn't matter, because I haven’t stopped taking steps since. Along the way, I learned that the process was what mattered.

Giving myself the permission to be a beginner was the mindset shift that allowed me to make the changes necessary to adopt a balanced, healthy, and enjoyable lifestyle and create habits that gave me peace and freedom. And that’s exactly what I want to teach you.

Wellness Refocused is a culmination of all that I have learned and implemented in order to live the life I desired. Now, it’s your turn and I’m here for it.

I'm Alyssa, founder of Wellness Refocused. My life revolves around the beauty of the present moment, enriched by the love of my husband JP, our children, Vincent and Virginia, and cherished family and friends. In embracing a slower pace, I find solace in the simplicity of everyday joys and difficulties. For me, wellness isn't just a destination, but a way of lifeβ€”the habits and routines I have formed keep me on track and allow me to restore balance when the inevitable train-wrecks in life happen. Sleepless nights with a new baby happen. Deadlines for work. Putting another meal on the table. Every season of life is more easily embraced when you are able to cultivate a foundation of habits that serve you and your wellness.
